A flint core of uncertain age possibly Paleolithic in date.
Description: The core is roughly oval in plan with and a roughly semi-circular cross-section. It has substantial shaping removals off one face and two large removals on the other. The largest of these, which was produced with a pressure hinge fracture removal may have produced a rounded scraping flake. The striking platform of this flake had substantial flaking preparation before its removal. The core is a mid-caramel brown colour.
Measurements: 65.9mm long, 44.36mm wide, 28.85mm thick and 86.23g in weight.

A flint hammerstone of uncertain prehistoric date.
Description: Is roughly semi-circular in cross-section. The hammerstone has large amounts of crushing at the rounded end and accidental removals along two faces indicating its use a a hammerstone. The flatter sides may have been prepared for its uses as a hammerstone as the intentional flakes helping flatten these edges. The edges of the flat end have also had intentional crushing to blunt the edges to make it safer to use, this can be described as invasive scaled abrupt retouch. A fragment of wheel thrown ceramic vessel of Roman date c. AD 43 - 410, likely a small mica dusted greyware jar dating to the period c. AD 125 - 300.
Description: The vessel survives only as a rim sherd and part of the neck of the jar. The sherd is very curved and the rim is angular and flat upright which would create a narrow mouth for this vessel. The sherd has mixed variably spaced inclusions of small grit and quartz and common specks of mica dusting. A cast post-medieval lead-alloy circular uniface token (c. 1500-1850).
Description: The token is circular, one side of which has an uneven cross quadrant design (Powell type 12). Object is mostly a grey colour with patches of light off white-brown colour with occasional patches of light brown specs.
Measurements: 19.88mm in diameter, 5.09mm thick and 13.21g in weight.
Discussion: Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets, weights, etc. and are believed to have been locally produced; they are therefore difficult to date precisely.…

An incomplete post medieval cast copper alloy spherical bell, dating to c AD 1600 - 1700. It has a rectangular suspension loop with circular, probably drilled perforation with two circular perforations in the upper half of the bell, one of which has been, or has become, misshapen. A lead alloy circular seal matrix dating to the medieval period, circa AD 1200-1350.
The seal matrix has been made in one piece with the remains of an integrally moulded suspension loop at the reverse. The front face would have originally been decorated and possibly the name of the owner but there is just an outline of what appears to be a flower and there is a pierced hole and indentation to the centre.

A complete lead weight or spindle whorl of uncertain date but possibly Medieval. The object is conical shaped with a flat base and circular perforation in the centre. All surfaces are worn but the upper surface is decorated with one horizontal raised line around the object at 7.87mm from its flat base. Cutting across this is a series of six vertical raised lines spaced equidistantly around the object. In the spaces thus formed there is raised decoration of dots and lines which are indiscernible apart from one cross.The metal is worn and creamy grey in colour.

A Medieval to post Medieval lead trade weight which has a roughly centred pierced hole and a raised cross on the face with 34.17mm long arms. The object has a rough surface flat back. The face has sloping sides from a roughly flat central area 39.24mm square, upon which the raised cross is situated. There is an incised line along one side of this square. The object measures 62.53mm from corner to corner and 58.15mm from the other corner to corner.
It measures 53.8mm by 56.27mm and is 15.71mm thick. It weighs 316g.
