An incomplete silver post-medieval 'pine tree' Massachusetts shilling, date 1652 but minted between 1667 - 1674.
Though dated '1652', such coins tend to be attributed to the period c. 1667 - c. 1674. All 'pine tree' issues show the date 1652 owing to the fact that the colony understood it had no rights to mint coinage, perhaps wanting to create the illusion it only minted during the period immediately after the Civil War (Newman 1973, 101-2; Sylla 1982, 24).

An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy scale knife end-cap (pommel) (1500-1600).
This end cap is trapezoidal in plan and sub-rectangular in cross-section. Viewed in plan, the top is curved and each end would have risen slightly prior to being broken. The sides taper in slightly towards the bottom. In side view, it is an inverted 'V'-shape. There are the remains of a corroded iron tang on the underside. Each larger (opposite) face is decorated with a grooved grid pattern. However, the pattern is now barely visible due to corrosion.
This end-cap is reddish brown with light green…

Copper alloy barrel tap key. A key made of two parts; a ball-ended handle with a cylindrical mid-part, and a cylindrical socket with rectangular aperture, diminishing in its diameter towards its union with the handle, into which its rectangular end passed to fit snuggly with its end flush with the top of the handle. The finder kindly suggests a function as a stop tap, though the construction in two parts may point to a slightly earlier date than this may imply. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1750-1850.

Copper alloy weight. Cast biconvex weight with a flat moulded medial circumferential belt between its upper and lower parts, with a waisted basal knop and a probably drawn wire loop at the top. The latter retains two figure-of-eight links, each of length c.13mm. This may be a clock weight lost from a pendulum mechanism. Similar weights were also used as a plumb bob by surveyors using a theodolite, so an alternative interpretation might be suggested. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1650-1800.
