A complete copper alloy Irish farthing of Charles I, possibly a Matravers "patent" issue; dated 1634 - 1636. Beaded outer and inner circles so that the legened is between two circles of beads.
Obverse description: Crossed scepters through the crown. Obverse inscription: CAROLVS D G MAG BRI[T].
Reverse description: Harp with an eagle's head, crown above. Reverse inscription: FRAN ET HIB REX.
