An incomplete developed flat axe with hammer raised flanges, of later Early Bronze Age dating (about 2000 BC to 1700 BC). The axehead is broadly rectangular, with an incomplete expanded crescent shaped blade. The butt is narrow and incomplete and measures 21.8mm in width and is 3.8mm thick. In profile the axe is a sub pointed oval with both terminals tapering. In section the axe is slightly H-shaped as the side edges of the axe have been worked to form a slight raised collar rather than having cast flanges. A lead seal matrix of pointed oval shape dating from the Medieval period, about AD 1200 - 1400. The legend is illegible, partly because some of the letters are obscured or filled with a grey material, perhaps wax, and partially because the surface of the matrix is damaged. The central motif is a seven or eight pointed star. It is separated from the legend by a single line. The edges of the matrix are abraded. On the reverse is the broken remains of a handle lug at one end. The lead has a patchy brown and cream patina. The matrix is 30.1mm long, 20.6mm wide and 8.4mm thick. 13.16g.

It is made of sheet metal, folded around the bar with recessed corners for the missing frame, and a hole for the pin. The back plate is narrower than the front. An unusual but incomplete Roman brooch dating from about AD 70 - 200. It seems to be a Headstud variant with a Polden Hill lug type style spring mechanism. The brooch has a sprung pin which is held on an axis bar (made of iron) which passes through a loop on the reverse of the head and is held in perforations in the round end caps of the spring housing. A solid lead figurine in the form of a busking swan afloat or swimming, of probable Post Medieval date, about AD 1700 - 1900. The head of the swan is missing. It has a characteristic curved neck, and the wings are not folded, not outstretched, but slightly raised and arched over its back (busking). The wing and tail feathers are carefully moulded. An incomplete post medieval mount, dating from about AD 1600-1700. The mount is heart shaped in plan, with a longitudinal incised groove between the two upper lobes. The base of the heart expands out to a trilobed knop with rounded terminals. A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman finger ring dating from AD 43 - 300. It consists of one shoulder, half of the oval bezel and part of the hoop. The hoop has a flat rectangular cross-section and tapers towards the back. The bezel is recessed to house a glass or gem setting which is now missing. The breaks are patinated. The ring is 13.8mm long, 13mm wide and 10.4mm thick. 2.14g. It has a grey green patina. Compare SF-846F38 and NARC-D8740C which are assigned to the Henig's type II (1974, p. 55, fig. 1).
