A complete Medieval silver short cross cut farthing of John (1199-1216) or Henry III (1216-1272), possibly minted by Ilger at London. Class 5b2-7b c. 1205-c. 1236 (North 1994: 220-223, refs: 970-979). Obverse: [hENRICV]S RE[X] (normal S); Crowned bust facing with sceptre (strokes for the beard). An incomplete copper-alloy Trumpet brooch of Roman date, c. AD 75 - 175. The head is ovate with a single integral lug to the reverse. No pin, spring, loop or catch-plate is present. A narrow curved circular sectioned bow extends from the front of the head widening slightly to a prominent central knop having at least one less-prominent moulding above and below the knop. The knop is present on the reverse of the bow, but is much less distinct than on the front. The knop may be petalled - possibly 3 - 5 petals - but is worn to an extent that makes petalling or surface decoration mostly…

Incomplete copper-alloy buckle dating from the medieval or early post-medieval period, probably 1250 - 1650, possibly 12th to 14th century in date. The buckle frame is small, D-shaped with offset bar and is attached to a separate buckle plate. The outer edge of the frame is decorated by a double row of impressed dots forming a zig-zag pattern.The bar is worn from two hinge loops attaching the plate.
