An incomplete, worn and double struck Medieval silver halfpenny of Edward I (1272-1307), minted at York. Class 3c-e, 1280-1282 (North 1991: 32, ref: 1045/1; Withers 2001: 55, Type 1). Obverse: [EDW]R ANGL DNS [hYB]; Crowned bust facing with a trifoliate crown and wedged drapery. Reverse: [CIVI/TAS]/EBO/RACI; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.
