An incomplete white metal coated Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double loop rectangular amour buckle, c.1400-1500 AD.
Description: The buckle has concave sides and ends with quarter circle rabbet in each corner. Engraved oblique lines within an engraved linear border. Remenants of a white metal coating can still be seen, largely on the reverse side. The buckle is a mid green and grey colour.
Dimensions: Height 49.38mm, width 37.45mm, thickness 2.32mm and weight 13.14g.

White pipeclay doll fragment. Moulded arm from a china doll of composite construction, with a mould line along either side. A chubby childlike forearm is modelled at a scale of c.1:5 with an open hand with short fingers at one end, and an aperture of diameter 7.3mm at the other, just short of the position of the elbow. The body and dress of the doll would have been of fabric to which separate limbs and head were attached. A fragment of a copper alloy developed T-shaped brooch dating to 50-150 AD. One complete wing and part of the bow remaining. The wings are hollow and tubular to house the missing axis bar for a hinged pin mechanism. There is a notch in the middle to allow for the articulation of the missing pin. The fragment of the bow is tapering and is decorated with moulded longitudinal grooves and ridges.

A fragment of off-set spoon dating to the Roman period. Part of the fig-shaped bowl, the curved off-set and the stub of the handle remain. The handle is rectangular in cross section. The off set continues as a slight ridge at the rear of the bowl. The bowl is gently concave. There are traces of white metal coating on the surfaces.

A complete cast copper alloy Medieval swivelling harness hook or fitting, dating to AD 1200-1500. It is sub-square in cross-section with a domed and enlarged terminal knop, now corroded. The hook has a slightly convex outer face and it ends in an enlarged blunt point.
In Egan (1998, p. 179, fig. 146, no. 499), the hook is used for suspension of cooking vessels, but other uses are not excluded. Cf. in PAS database: LVPL-530914, IOW-14E414.

A small dense compact dark grey pebble of triangular section with rounded ends and sharply defined arises between its flat faces, probably initially formed by wind erosion in a dusty or icy environment. The buckle is approximately half of it's original size, in a semi-circular "C" shape with break edges on both sides. There is a lowered perimeter line around the outside of the piece but otherwise there are no marks or decorations on the surface.

An incomplete copper alloy Colchester derivative, hinged brooch. The wings are short and tubular housing a copper alloy axis bar for the hinged pin. The expanded, pierced head of the pin only remains. The bow is arched from the wings and curves down, tapering as it does so, to a plain foot. There is the remnant of a catch plate at the rear of the foot. The bow is oval in cross section and decorated with a central longitudinal ridge.

An incomplete copper alloy off-set spoon. The stem is circular in cross section with a plain terminal (rat-tail) beyond which it is a 'twisted rod style. The stem is tapered from the bowl to the terminal. The fragment of the bowl is attached by a curving, hook-like, C-shaped off-set which has a rectangular cross section. The small fragment of the bowl is rounded on the upper edge, and concave.
