An incomplete and worn post-Medieval groat of Mary I, c1553-1554.
The coin is extremely worn with approximately one-third missing. The obverse shows a crowned bust of Mary, facing left; the legend is illegible. The reverse, again very worn, shows a portion of a long cross fourchee. The coin measures 22.66mm in diameter, 0.5mm thick and weighs 1.0g. North 1960.
