A worn silver denarius, struck in commemoration of the deified Faustina I under Antoninus Pius, dated to the period AD147-161 (Reece period7).
The obverse shows a draped bust of Faustina Senior, facing right with hair coiffed and in a low bun behind. The legend reads DIVA [FAVST] IN [A]. The reverse depicts Juno veiled, seated right, holding a transverse sceptre. The worn legend reads AVG [VSTA]. The edge of the coin is worn and nicked in various places. the coin has a diameter of 15.59mm, is 2.32mm thick and weighs 2.4g
