An incomplete copper-alloy possibly Early Medieval scabbard mount or chape. It is an openwork sub-rectangular plate; it is flat on its back face and on the front face depicts a possible animal or horse and rider in relif. It has a recessed and flat corner piercerd with a sub-circular hole. The upper parts of the animal and possible rider are missing. Late 11th to 12th century in date. An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval buckle plate, dating to AD 1250-1400. It consists of a rectangular openwork plate, broken across the end of two rectangular perforations. Beyond these are two circular perforations, then a narrowed waist before a wider terminal which flares to four lobes, now incomplete with old breaks now worn. The centre of the terminal has a small circular rivet hole. An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval to Medieval buckle. The surviving frame has a sub-triangular shape in plan and its inside edge outlines a D-shaped loop. The outside edges are bevelled while inside are flat. The central part of the outside edge, instead of the corner of the triangle, has a trefoiled lobe and two knops project outward where the other two corners are. An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval to Medieval casket mount. It is rectangular in plan with a sub-triangular cross-section. On the front face, both ends are decorated with a head of an outward looking beast, characterized by pointed ears, wide open eyes, nostrils and mouth; above both heads there is a symmetric herringbone pattern ended by a line of sunken dots. A complete cast copper alloy Medieval swivelling harness hook or fitting, dating to AD 1200-1500. It is sub-square in cross-section with a domed and enlarged terminal knop, now corroded. The hook has a slightly convex outer face and it ends in an enlarged blunt point. In Egan (1998, p. 179, fig. 146, no. 499), the hook is used for suspension of cooking vessels, but other uses are not excluded. Cf. in PAS database: LVPL-530914, IOW-14E414. An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval (Anglo Saxon) fiddle-shaped shield buckle pin. It has the charateristic violin shape in plan consisting of a semi-circular end and waisted central part, followed by a D-shape cross-sectioned bar, which tapers towards the end and curves downward. The front face is flat, but heavily affected by iron corrosion; there is a crack, which cuts through the corrosion layer, possibly penetreting into the copper-alloy front face of the pin. It has a trapezoidal frame with a narrowed recessed strap bar and a separate bar fitted across the outer end and secured via holes through the end of each side. An incomplete copper-alloy Post Medieval hair pin, dating to AD 1485-1603. The surviving pin head consists of a circular domed upper element soldered with an inverted conical lower element. The pin shaft runs longitudinally through the head projecting with a flat boss on top of the domed element; at the lower end of the head, the fragment of the surviving pin is bent.
