Five body sherds from late Early Medieval hand built vessels. The sherds appear to be from large round bodied vessels but too little survives to establish the form and there are no rims or bases. They may be from the same pot or several, one appears thinner and three have been burnt post breaking. The sherds all have abundant poorly sorted quartz and limestone temper up to 3.5mm across with occasional pieces up to 5.mm across and occasional rounded ironstone or grog inclusions. An incomplete copper-alloy possibly Early Medieval scabbard mount or chape. It is an openwork sub-rectangular plate; it is flat on its back face and on the front face depicts a possible animal or horse and rider in relif. It has a recessed and flat corner piercerd with a sub-circular hole. The upper parts of the animal and possible rider are missing.
Late 11th to 12th century in date.

An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval to Medieval buckle. The surviving frame has a sub-triangular shape in plan and its inside edge outlines a D-shaped loop. The outside edges are bevelled while inside are flat. The central part of the outside edge, instead of the corner of the triangle, has a trefoiled lobe and two knops project outward where the other two corners are. The front face is decorated with a sequence of ring-and-dots, which outlines the surviving semi-circular section of the loop. The back face is flat and undecorated.

An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval to Medieval casket mount. It is rectangular in plan with a sub-triangular cross-section. On the front face, both ends are decorated with a head of an outward looking beast, characterized by pointed ears, wide open eyes, nostrils and mouth; above both heads there is a symmetric herringbone pattern ended by a line of sunken dots. In the middle of the mount there is a circular fixing hole; another fixing hole is truncated, but visible, at one of the end while the other is flattened and slightly bent downward.

Description: A cast copper-alloy three-dimensional figurine of a man, with a silver wire element, perhaps the remains of a suspension ring. The man is standing with arms against his sides and hands with splayed fingers held against the groin above his non-erect phallus. The figure is wearing a plain cap or helmet which has sloping sides and is longer at the back than the front. An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval (Anglo Saxon) fiddle-shaped shield buckle pin. It has the charateristic violin shape in plan consisting of a semi-circular end and waisted central part, followed by a D-shape cross-sectioned bar, which tapers towards the end and curves downward. The front face is flat, but heavily affected by iron corrosion; there is a crack, which cuts through the corrosion layer, possibly penetreting into the copper-alloy front face of the pin.
