A complete gold inscribed finger ring, of probable 16th to 17th Century AD dating.
The finger ring was originally found flattened but has been restored by the finder to a circular shape. The exterior of the finger ring has a ridge top and bottom with an inscription between the two ridges. The inscription reads: +DAME IOHNE MYLBORNE, presumily originally belonging to the wife of John Mylborne.
The finger ring has a width of 7.0 mm and the hoop is 1.5 mm thick. The restored diameter is 22.8 mm (externally), 19.8 mm (internally). It weighs 6.7 g.
