Cast copper-alloy single looped buckle with integral spacer plate. Medieval in date, c. 1350 - 1450. The frame is oval in shape and curves to a point where the pin rests. The pin is 'D' shaped in section an tapers to a point. The attachment end is looped around the pin bar, which is integrally connected to the remains of the forked spacer. There is a raised moulded ridge running along the base of the forked spacers, indicative of the location of the pin bar. The patina is a very dark green colour. Dimensions: weight: 2.4g, length: 21.1mm, width: 19.3mm, thickness: 4.8mm

A copper-alloy Roman brooch fragment of the Aucissa or Hod Hill Type, dating to c. AD 43-100. The headplate is flat and sub-rectangular in plan; it comprises small fragments of the forwards folded terminals parts, the iron axis-bar and part of the hinged pin. The bow has a sub-rectangular cross-section and in its front has two prominent transverse ridges where it joins the headplate. The fragment is haevily corroded. Similar examples in Mackreth (2011, Vol. 2, p. 93, Pl. 90 and p. 99, Pl. 96, cf. no. 9459). Length: 13.41 mm Width: 9.99 mm Thickness of the bow: 2.25 mm
