The perforation has an internal diameter of 9.1mm.The smaller surface of the whorl has worn decoration in relief . The other side is worn. The object has a powdery white patina. A circular floral copper alloy mount, possibly a furniture mount. The mount is decorated with 6 convex moulded sections surrounding a small central hole. The sections alternate between cicular features and geometric sections. The circular sections have a central depression, and the geometric sections have 6 raised pinpoints. The reverse has 6 concave depressions.

Foot of a medieval to post-medieval cast cooking vessel, sub-triangular in cross-section and tapering to a flat end. At the upper end is the surfaces continue slightly beyond the break, the surface of which is uneven. It is likely that the whole piece is a repair and that the upper end, rather than broken, is a mortis. Length 43mm. Width 30 - 15.5mm. Thickness 15 - 10mm. Weight 63.53g. 14th - 17th century.
