Lead disc. A small thin disc, probably cast onto a smooth flat surface and subsequently knife-cut to achieve its discoid form. The upper side [as cast] bears two or three prominently scored lines along with other textures which were perhaps adventitiously formed. Patinated. This might have served as a playing counter for a board game, a species of artefact often of ephemeral or improvised form. Suggested date: Medieval, 1250-1500.
