It is formed from a sheet of copper alloy to create a cone shaped chape with folded, rounded tip. An Early to Middle Bronze Age (1800 - 1400 BC) copper alloy dirk or dagger. Ogival blade expanded centrally. The butt is trapezoid in form with shoulders that curve inwards to the narrow blade. A complete copper-alloy harness pendant of medieval date, c.AD 1200 - 1400. The pendant is shield shaped with an integral suspension loop projecting centrally from the upper edge. The shield is heraldic featuring a relief design of an eagle with outstretched wings, splayed legs and its head facing left set on a field of red enamel. The outer edge of the frame possesses a slight lip and there is a notch to accommodate the pin. The frame extends to the remains of an integral forked spacer, which is incomplete. The buckle measures 33mm in length, 28mm in width and 3mm in thickness.

Medieval gilt copper alloy harness mount for the suspension of a pendant, a D-sectioned bar with a moulded double cusp before a rivet hole at both lobed terminals (one hole with remains of an iron rivet). In the centre, above the suspension loop which is bifurcated and folded onto the reverse, a rectangular cell contains a tree covered with many tiny annulets within a field of red enamel. Most of the enamel has been lost. One terminal has been bent backwards. Length 65mm. Width (or height) at centre 21mm. 13th - 14th century.

In the centre of the die there is a foliate motif (a tree or branch?) surrounded by an incised pointed oval. The circumference is incised with a legend which reads [S]' WILL. FIL' RO[B]... (Seal of William son of Robert). The seal matrix measures 27mm in length and a maximum of 20mm in width. It measures 3mm in thickness.
