A Medieval copper alloy English Jetton, probably dating to c. AD 1280-1340. Sterling and allied series. Obverse depicting lion rampant with an outer circle of pellets. Reverse depicting a short cross moline with pellets in each quarter within an outer circle of pellets. Mernick 4g.5 (Reverse 6). There is a drilled depression in the centre of the obverse.

An extremely worn copper-alloy numismatic artefact of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. This is probably a Medieval Continental jetton. Obverse and obverse legend is illegible although the central field seems to have been separated from the legend by a circular border line. Reverse is extremely worn and illegible, a four-arched tressure being just visible. Reverse legend is illegible. Die axis is uncertain. Weight is 2.48g, diameter is 26.6mm, thickness is 0.7mm.

A complete copper alloy jetton of Medieval date (c AD 1280-1340). The obverse depicts a rampant lion set within central roundel border, consisting of small pellets. The outer border is comprised of alternating pellets and crosses.The reverse depicts a long cross moline, with pellets occupying the quarters. The outer border is made up of small pellets. The jetton is worn and part of it is covered in green corrosion product. The combination of the obverse (Mernick 4g.9.7) and reverse (Mernick 4g.6.7) appears to be a variant of the known typology.
