A complete lead-alloy spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date, c.AD 1200 - 1800. The spindle whorl is bi-conical with a central perforation running through it. Both surfaces are decorated with irregular spaced raised lines radiating from the central perforation to the outer edge forming multi-pointed stars. On both faces, a knob ended cross is present between to arms of the stars.
The metal has a light grey patina and is worn. The spindle whorl is 25.8mm in diameter, 10.2mm thick and weighs 22.5g. The perforation is 8.4mm in diameter.

A pick made on a nodule of tabular flint. Steeply, irregularly and sometimes deeply flaked on all three faces to form a crudely triangular cross-section. Both ends are pointed. There is minor battering to two edges to blunt them. One face is almost completely covered by cortex and one face has an area of smooth, white recortification. The flint is mid-grey and mottled with a mid-gloss patina and areas of red-brown ferrous stains, mainly on flake scar ridges.

An incomplete iron knife of possible Early-Medieval date, c.AD 500 - 1000. The blade is sub-triangular in both plan and section with a straight back and curved cutting edge, blunted point to one end and sloping shoulders to a narrower sub-ovate tang at the other. The knife is extremely rusted and the organic handle is missing.
The object is 111.2mm long, 16.3mm wide, 7.4mm thick and weighs 21g.

An early-medieval copper-alloy escutcheon dating c.AD 625-675. It is round and slightly dished in shape, with an overall diameter of 40mm and a large central hole (11 mm in diameter).
The front is decorated with eight interlaced peltae forming an equal-armed cross around the central hole, and the design is filled with enamel. The rear of the escutcheon is undecorated.
The escutcheon would have also included a frame, into which this piece would have been fitted, and a hook.

A flaked flint pick. Made on a fragment of flint nodule with a pointed tip that has a triangular cross-section and rounded base that has a sub-oval cross section. Thick chalky cortex covers around 60% of the piece leaving the pointed tip exposed flint which is opaque, mid-grey and has a low-gloss patina. The pointed tip has been formed by removal of broad flakes.
