A copper-alloy nail cleaner of moulded neck and shouldered blade (Group) dating to the Roman period. The nail cleaner possesses a flat, circular head with a circular perforation which is positioned off-centre. The head extends to an oval-section stem which is horizontally ribbed with a series of beaded mouldings. The stem flattens to form a flat, leaf-shaped blade with a phallic terminal. On both the upper and lower surfaces, the blade has an incised groove accentuating the phallic nature of the terminal. A complete silver hammered Irish farthing of Edward I, dating c. 1281-1284. Dublin mint. Obverse; crowned bust facing within beaded triangle, ERA/NG/LIE in spandrels. Reverse; long cross quartering coin, three pellets in each angle, CIVI/TAS/DVB/LINE. The coin is particularly well struck on a circular flan and is relatively unworn.
