A fragment of a late medieval to early post-medieval (formerly) circular copper alloy button-form badge with an engraved depiction of Saint Hubert and the stag on the front. Just over one quarter of the button survives, showing the top-left part of the engraved design. The front is smooth and has a glossy sheen and a silvery-grey patina, suggesting a high-tin alloy, while the rear is matt and undecorated, with a rough texture, and a mid to dark grey patina. A gilded copper alloy, pear shaped face mask mount dating to the period c. AD 600 - 700. The object is flat and in the form of a horned head. The circular face has rounded eyes set with red stones (either garnets or coloured glass), above pronounced cheeks. The beard is triangular with the ends of the moustache extending beyond. The hair appears uncovered but then develops into two decorated crescent extensions (the horns), meeting centrally above the face with what might be an eagle, and/or serpent heads.

An incomplete Neolithic (4000 - 2100 BC) polished flint axehead wih damage to the butt end and missing the cutting edge, probably from around half the original length of the axehead.
The axehead is pointed-oval in cross-section and has been bifacially worked with polishing apparent on both faces and sides. Flakes appears to have been removed both on top of and beneath the polishing. Iron staining is apparent on the edges of flake removals. The sides of the axehead are faceted and flat, surviving to a height of c.5-6mm.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy 'Yorkshire Type' socketed axehead of Late Bronze Age date, 1000 - 800 BC. The axehead is wedge shaped with a sub-square socket, the mouth has been lost to old worn breaks. Internally the socket tapers and narrows to the cutting edge. A complete copper-alloy strap mounted terret, Lewis' Type 19 of Roman date, AD 43 - 200. The terret comprises a main ovate ring with integral rectangular loop. The main ring is bottom-heavy displaying wear to the upper edge.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The terret is 35.4mm long, 35mm wide, 8.9mm thick and weighs 25.1g.
Terret rings were used as rein guides on chariots or carts used during the Late Iron Age to Early Roman period. They were set in a line along the yoke and five terrets were usually used per chariot. This suggested function is supported by eviden…

An incomplete cast copper alloy Colchester derivative, hinged (dolphin) type brooch dating to the Roman period (c. AD 55 - 100). The surviving parts of the brooch include the wings, head and part of the bow. The foot, catchplate and pin are all missing.
The tips of the wings have a slight collar around each terminal. The bow also has a raised central ridge extending from the top, just below the head, down towards where the foot would have been. An incomplete copper-alloy fnger ring of Henig Type II, Roman date (AD 43-300). The finger ring has an oval bezel and shoulders with a bevelled section that tapers into the undecorated hoop. The hoop terminates along the lower portion in old and abrade breaks. The bezel has an ovate recess and contains the remnants of red enamel.
The metal is a dark brown in colour with a predominantly smooth patina.
