A fragment of a copper alloy terminal from an unknown object, dated to the Iron Age to Medieval period (c. 50 BC - AD 1500). The object is sqaure in profile and rectangular in shape. At the terminal is a short cyclindrical projection. There are no decorative features apparent on the fragment. A complete copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object consists of a long hook, measuring 85mm in length before it curves, tapering in width to a rounded point. The hook is circular in cross-section. At the top of the object the hook expands and flattens to form an integral loop. The loop has an internal diameter of 14mm. A complete copper-alloy thimble of medieval date, c.AD 1300 - 1500. The thimble has a circular base with fairly parallel sides which curve towards the top where they form the crown, creating a dome. A series of irregular spiralling pits extend from the crown towards the base. The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. There are four flat semi-circular projecting knops on the outside edge. On the reverse is a rectangular loop. The back of the plate is steeply concave and undecorated. An incomplete copper alloy strap end or strap fitting dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1450). The object is roughly rectangular in shape with a squared off end at one end and a worn break at the opposite end. The squared off end has a rivet hole though no rivet survives. The object tapers slightly along its length towards the broken end suggesting its original form was a strap end. It has a dark greenish brown patina and no signs of decoration. The overall dimensions are as follows: 21.09mm in length, 14.92mm in width, 1.72mm in thickness and 2g in weight.

This weight is corroded and pitted with an uneven surface and is greyish buff in colour. The weight at 457g is just over the averdepois pound (454g), indicating a probable medieval to post-medieval date.

An Anglo Saxon iron spearhead, dating to c. 500 - 700 AD. The spear has the typical slender leaf shape distinctive of Swanton C3, or possibly C4. There is a clear mid-rib, forming the lozenge cross section of the blade. The open socket, forming approximately one third of the length, has a diameter of 18mm. An Anglo Saxon leaf shaped iron spear head dating c. 500 - 700 AD. The profile, now difficult to see, has a slightly raised midrib to form a flatten diamond shape cross section and the socket, being only around one fifth of the overall length, has probably lost the end section. The end diameter of the socket in 17mm. The spear has extensive corrosion with loss of much of the edge metal, there is a pronounced red and mottled brown surface. A medieval or post-medieval sheet copper-alloy folded rivet (1100-1700), probably a repair for a copper alloy vessel. The rivet is made from a hexagonal piece of sheet copper alloy, the ends of which have been folded in to meet in the middle and then back out. It measures 25.39mm in length, 12.64mm in width and 3.51mm in thickness. It weighs 2.66g. A similar rivet is illustrated in Egan's 'Medieval Household' (1998, p. 176, no. 489) and in Egan (2005:101) Fig: 87 suggesting a long date range of c.AD 1100-1700.
