A late Iron Age or Roman (100 BC - AD 300) copper alloy and enamelled (or possilby glass-inlay) unidentified object, possibly a harness or cart fitting. The object consists of a flat, decorated and red-enamelled plate with a tubular attachment cast as one to the reverse. The plate is a rounded tear-drop in shape with an oval flanking the edge at either side of the pointed end. Miniature harness fitting of probable Late Iron Age to Roman date (c. 150 BC - AD 50). A terret ring of Spratling's group V in form, however, on a miniature scale and far too small to be functional. D-shaped in form with an oval-sectioned bar at the bottom with a lipped knop at either end. Five further lipped knops are spaced at regular intervals around the circumference of the ring. A Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth 2011, Chapter 3, Part 3, Group 4b, c.f. Mackreth Type 4b, Plate 46, AD c. 75-400. The axis bar and spring mechanism are almost complete, only the length of spring that passes above the coil and is held in place by a perforated lug is missing. The pin is also missing. The wings are cylindrical in plan with wing / end caps intact and the axis bar is visible as it has pierced the wing caps. A medieval copper-alloy rotary key dating c. 1200-1400. The key is rather crudely made from a single sheet of metal. The terminal is in the form of a flat circular loop, which then extends into a shank of sub-oval section. A worn T-shaped bit extends from the shank. A pointed section of shank extends beyond the bit. A number of very similar crude and simple rotary keys are shown in Egan (1998, 112), which he dates as from the late 12th - to late 14th centuries.

A post medieval dagger pommel, dating to the period AD 1550-1650. It measures 34mm in diameter, is 10.89mm thick and weighs 55.85g. The patina is smooth, the color is of a very dark green. The pommel is circular in plan. It is decorated with 16 radiating lobed ribs around a round 5.83mm wide central perforation, which features two rectangular punch marks on one side. These punches could be from when the pommel was attached to the tang. There is a broadly similar pommel on the database: WILT-08C14E.
