A cast copper-alloy single loop buckle probably circa late 13th to 15th centuries. The frame is D shaped in plan with a bevelled and rounded upper surface and a slightly offset and recessed strap bar. The reverse is plain and flat.

An incomplete copper sheet Buckle plate. Comprising two rectangular sheet metal plates joined at the centre of one edge by a single circular sectioned rivet. Both plates are undecorated and have a remnant of a notch where the buckle pin is articulated.The plates are slightly bent out of shape.They were originally attached to buckle DOR- A17BD8.

An incomplete copper alloy single loop buckle with a separately applied folded sheet metal plate.The rectangular buckle frame has a sheet metal roller on the outer edge. The short sides of the frame are slightly out-curved and rectangular in cross section. The bar at the rear is recessed to accomodate the sheet metal plate. An oval frame with a pointed lip in the outer edge and bevelled edges. The bar is off-set and slightly constricted to accommodate the copper alloy pin. A copper alloy pin from a large annular framed buckle. The pin only remains. The pin is rectangular in cross section and tapers to a rounded point. On the upper face of the pin towards the attachment end is a raised rectangular area decorated with four transverse grooves. The attachment end is broken but was originally hooked to go around the frame of an annular buckle.

A complete Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1350-c. 1650).
This buckle frame is convex at the front, flat at the rear. The oval loops are of similar size and shape and are bevelled internally at the front. In side view the loops are angled upwards at an angle of about 10°. The bar is triangular in cross-section, flat at the rear. The copper-alloy tapering pin is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear.
The frame and pin are green with patches of a dark green patina.

An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy zoomorphic buckle of Hawkes and Dunning type IIa, dating to the period AD 350-450. The buckle is 39.77mm in length and 16.8mm in width. It is 4.35mm thick and weighs 8.27g. The patina is relatively rough, the colour is green. Only the side of the buckle on which the pin would have rested remains.

A Medieval copper-alloy annular buckle with cast copper-alloy pin, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1450. The frame is circular in plan, and oval in cross-section, with no constriction for the pin. The frame is undecorated. The pin is cast, with a rounded point and a sub-circular cross section. At the attachment end is a cast, rearward facing hook, with the juncture between the two deliniated by a transverse collar, moulded in relief. File marks are present on the sides of the pin.

Copper alloy buckle fragment. A cast D-shaped or single looped buckle frame with a flat and expanded outer edge and a narrowed round section strap bar. The flat section overall is unusual. Extensive traces of black coating appear, and may suggest a later place in the broad date range for the type. Suggested date: Late Medieval, 1400-1500.

An incomplete copper alloy Medieval buckle plate, back plate missing. It is rectangular in shape with 2 arms extending from one short end, possibly the top of the buckle. The bottom end has a circular hole on each corner each measuring about 3mm. The centre of the buckle has what appears to be a raised relief lion passant rearguardant, i.e. head looking to the rear, the body walking to the left. On the right hand side and the bottom is a border of XXXs, they do not appear on the left side, the latter showing damage. Dates to the period AD 1200 to 1500.

Bent and broken fragment of a medieval gilt copper alloy buckle, originally trapezoidal, now comprising one side and most of offset narrowed bar and a large flat-sectioned circular knop (diam.13mm), decorated with cross-hatched engraving, at the outer angle with the slight stump of the broad flat-sectioned outside edge. Length (unbent) 29mm. Extant width 45mm. Cf. broadly similar type in Whitehead (2003) no.165. Perhaps later 12th-13th century.

A complete, medieval, copper alloy buckle with an integral plate AD.1200 - 1350.
The frame is trapezoidal with the plate positioned in the centre of the shortest edge of the frame. The plate is divided into three sections.
