Lead weight or possible gaming piece, of probable medieval date. In plan it is rounded at the base, which is of c22mm diameter, with an oval projection at the apex measuring 8.5 by 5.1mm; and in section it is in the form of a shallow cone with a slight lean, 15.5mm high, surmounted by a 3.4mm high central trapezoidal projection. As the surface is heavily patinated and generally worn, the detail is obscured, and it is possible that the projection may originally have been higher and would have been perforated to allow suspension. The object weighs 40.03g.

Lead spindle whorl. Cast biconicalx whorl with a central moulded aperture of diameter 10.8mm. A moulded design in high relief appears on both sides. One is dominated by straight and curved radial lines which intermittently cross each other to produce a series of trapezoid compartments. The other side bears a more pronounced right hand spiral motif on one side and compartmented cells on the other. A late Post Medieval, double-sided lead casting, taken from a commemorative medal and possibly used as a weight or as a medallion. The object is circular in shape with decoration on both sides. The detail of the decoration is quite vague but has been made clearer through the identity of the original medal. As the detail is in relief, it is very probable that the object was cast directly from an original medal. This means that the detail displayed is a mirror image of the original.
