White metal coin. A greyish scyphate flan with a plain obverse and a concave reverse, with extensive traces of reddish surface plating or gilding on both sides. The gilding of copper alloy flans is more familiar to this reporter, and the white metal core may suggest this to be one of the imitations of ancient coins which are intermittently reported from north-eastern Lincolnshire.
