Copper alloy brooch fragment. Cast Hod Hill brooch, Mackreth 2011, type HOD HILL 4.a2. The middle and lower part of the bow remain with cross mouldings along its entire extent, and with a narrow bar projecting towards the upper limit of what remains. A small folded catch plate remains behind the foot of the bow. Extensive white metal plating remains on the display face. This type is strongly linked to the early Roman army in Britain. A Roman copper alloy finger ring of Guiraud's type 5 ('ring-key'), probably dating to c. AD 200-410. The hoop is D-shaped when seen from the side, with a flattened and slightly projecting rectangular bezel, of equal width to the hoop. The hoop is plano-convex in cross-section and undecorated. A copper-alloy Roman finger ring fragment. It consists of the shoulder, the oval bezel and part of the hoop. The hoop has a D-shaped cross-section; the shoulder has a curved profile. The bezel is recessed to house a glass or gem setting now missing; the raised rim of the bezel slightly expands into a triangle with its apex tapering towards the hoop. The breaks are well worn. The fragment joins find SF-81DC06 It is assigned to the Henig's type II (1974, p. 55, fig. 1), which dates to the 1st-3rd century. Length: 16.54 mm Width: 14.54 mm Thickness of the shoulder: 4.08 mm

Incomplete 18th century silvered spur, dating 1700-1800AD. The spur is incomplete, but one side of the yoke is complete with the fittings still attached, while the other side is broken close to the neck. There is a pierced lug on top of the head for the chord; wings are semi-circular in cross section, decorated to front with 3 transverse grooves either side of the bow. Bow has pair of vertical ribs along the centre; at the mid-point a flattened area with short transverse grooves; 2 grooved chevrons at either end. The lower bar is undecorated with a pair of grooves decorating the foot.
