The brooch comprises a haft which is rectangular in plan and features a recessed cell, which would originally have contained enamel but is now empty. The haft has been bent back on itself. An incomplete silver ingot of possible Early Medieval dating (AD 850 to AD 1000). The silver ingot is sub rectangular with a square cross section. The corners are slightly bevelled and there are some hammer marks along the edge. The ends are incomplete. It measures 28.3 mm in length, 8.8 mm wide and 6.2 mm thick. It weighs 8.9 g. The ingot is a dark grey colour, with an even surface patina. An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, Polden Hill brooch of Mackreth (2011), CD PH, 5.a3, Plate 50 dating to the period AD 50 -360. Most of the pin shank missing. There is a pierced lug on top of the head for the chord; wings are semi-circular in cross section, decorated to front with 3 transverse grooves either side of the bow. Bow has pair of vertical ribs along the centre; at the mid-point a flattened area with short transverse grooves; 2 grooved chevrons at either end. The lower bar is undecorated with a pair of grooves decorating the foot.

Incomplete 18th century silvered spur, dating 1700-1800AD. The spur is incomplete, but one side of the yoke is complete with the fittings still attached, while the other side is broken close to the neck. A gold disc, circular in plan. The centre on both faces appears to have been impressed, creating a thick, bulging, rim of uneven width and roughly surfaced. In the centre of on one face are the vestiges of a coin-like design though it is unrecognizable and is smaller in diameter than any known gold coins.

A cut fragment originating from a sestertius struck for Faustina I, dating to c. AD 161-175. Reece period 8. Reverse: uncertain due to wear and cutting of the coin. Mint of Rome. This fragment consists c. 20% of the original flan, with the edges apparently having been hammered into a square shape before a neat truncation has removed this slice from one edge. The motivation for this action may have been votive in character, though this remains uncertain.
