A complete circular uniface trade weight from the reign of Charles I. The weight is 1.5g, which is probably equivalent to a one sixteenth of an ounce: the smallest trade weight in use at the time. There are several markings on the weight including; a letter 'C' with a crown above (indicating the monarch), on the left, the London Guildhall dagger (sword of St Paul), on the right and at the bottom the Founders' Company ewer as stamped with Guildhall marks on bronze and brass weights up to 1826. There is a single punched indentation in the centre.
