A ?base silver/ copper-alloy tinned finger ring of keeled type dating to the third or fourth century AD. The finger ring possesses an oval hoop which is rectangular in section. The hoop expands to form the flat triangular shoulders which are decorated with marginal grooves and notches. The bezel is circular in plan with an integrally-cast raised setting, which is incised with three triangles. The internal ring diameter (lengthwise) is 20mm and 18mm (vertically). The external ring diameter is 24mm lengthwise and 22mm vertically. Parallels are recorded by the PAS including GLO-8750…
