An incomplete copper-alloy Iron Age or Roman strip bow brooch, dating to the period AD 20 - AD 100. The brooch measures 45.13mm in length and 13.19mm in width. It is 20.4mm thick and weighs 3.51g. The patina is quite rough, the colour is green. The left wing, the left side of the pin bar and the pin are missing.
The left wing is incomplete, the right wing is 5.07mm long and 8.41mm wide and gets more narrow towards the bow. The wings curl backwards to hold the pin bar. There is a pin slot through which the pin would have come out. The bow is flat and decorated with two vertical inci…

An incomplete copper alloy Late Iron Age/ Early Roman simple one-piece or Nauheim derivative type brooch dating to circa BC 100-AD 43
The pin is missing and some of the curls of the spring along with the catchplate. The head consists of two spring coils extending into the cord above, it is possibly missing two further coils that would have extended into the pin on the other side of the head.
