Silver gilt finger ring that has a bi-faceted bezel. There bezel is formed from two square panels with slightly concave faces, divided by a central transverse ridge. Each panel is decorated with two lines that span from one corner to the next creating a cross saltire that divides each panel into four triangles, the top and bottom triangles are decorated with a series of longitudinal lines; while the sides triangles have a triple set of central short lines. A ?base silver/ copper-alloy tinned finger ring of keeled type dating to the third or fourth century AD. The finger ring possesses an oval hoop which is rectangular in section. The hoop expands to form the flat triangular shoulders which are decorated with marginal grooves and notches. The bezel is circular in plan with an integrally-cast raised setting, which is incised with three triangles. The internal ring diameter (lengthwise) is 20mm and 18mm (vertically). An incomplete gold post-medieval finger-ring with a gemstone matrix, dating to c.16th century date. It is broken and the hoop twisted, with probably only a small section of the hoop missing; the hoop is bent outwards to the side. The circular bezel is flanked on its outside edge by a deepish groove and line of punched annulets, almost conjoined, beneath. The latter are within two lightly grooved tracks.
