An incomplete copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill type, of Roman date (AD 80-400). The axis bar and spring mechanism appear intact although they are heavily corroded. The pin is missing. The wings are cylindrical in plan with wing / end caps intact. Three of the spring coils are visible at the reverse. The bow is broad where it meets the wings it then tapers to a rounded knop foot. At the reverse of the brooch the catchplate is damaged and is broadly triangular in profile. A Roman copper alloy hinged colchester derivative intial T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 60-100. The brooch is largely complete, missing only its pin and with some abrasion to the rear of the catchplate and right wing tip. A Roman copper alloy two part brooch of colchester derivative circa AD 25-60. The brooch is incomplete and consists of the wings which are semi-circular in form. An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch from the 1st Century AD, It is a Colchester type two-piece brooch. The pin is missing. The bow arches down from the head of the brooch, and narrows to a sharp point. On the reverse there is the base of the catch plate which is now missing. At the head of the brooch half of the spring remains, and the bow curves round to the top of the head, creating a circular attachment loop.
