Early Medieval (c. 500 to 600 AD) incomplete long brooch, cruciform type; the copper alloy brooch is incomplete with only a fragment of the headplate and a portion of the bow remaining. The brooch has been cast, in copper alloy.
The head plate is sub-square with the left-hand edge being broken, but not too recently. The upper edge has an integral, elongated triangular projection which has a rounded tip.
