A flint implement, possibly a Mesolithic scraper. It consists of a sub triangular lump of opaque grey flint with a pale orange brown patina. It may be a natural flake. On the ventral side a central flake has been removed which shows a point of percussion and the suggestion of two faint concentric ripples.Whichever way up the implement is held, between thumb and forefinger, the thumb naturally fits the depression thus formed. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy hinged developed T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 75-150. The lower half of the bow has been lost, along with the catch-plate, as has the pin. The upper half of the bow has been bent to one side as a result of old damage.
At the head of the brooch the wings survive largely complete to a width of 20.2 mm, though there is some damage visible to the lefhand wing at its tip. An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval buckle pin. The shaft has an oval cross-section with bevelled upper and lower faces; its sides are slightly flattened and it has a blunt tip. On the lower side of the shaft, close to the tip, there is a small curvilinear recess due to the contact with the buckle frame. Another small recess is on the upper side close to the tip caused also by use. On the upper face of the shaft base there is a single ridge before the pin tapers creating an open loop.

The head, made from two parts with a clearly visible horizontal seam, sports eleven rounded bosses, two rows of five surmounted by a single one at the top. The frame is slender and trapezoidal in plan. About a third of the way towards the outer edge of the frame from its base is an internal projection at either side. There is no rivet hole.

This fragment is a portion of band which is flat and tapers to part of the hook which is circular in cross-section. The end of the hook is missing. The upper surface has a line of three ring-and-dot motifs. The inside of the band is plain.
The fragment is corroded and has traces of a green patina. The breaks are abraded.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy hinged applied hook brooch of Mackreth's type 1.c., probably dating to c. AD 25-100. The brooch now comprises of the head (with left wing incomplete) and bow, with the foot and pin both lost to patinated breaks.
At the head of the brooch the wings survive to a width of 37.0mm, these are cylindrical, c. 6.9mm in diameter, with a rectangualr slot cut into the reverse to accomodate a hinged pin, now lost. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy hinged crossbow brooch, probably dating to c. AD 350-410. The fragment consists of the head only, the bow being lost to a patinated break.
The wings of the brooch survive to a width of 43.5mm, these are circular in cross section and terminate in a pair of collared, integral onion-shaped knops, c. 13.8mm in diameter. The wings themselves measure 8.6mm in diameter. Hidden behind the pointed tips of the knops are small perforations containing iron corrosion, indicating the presence of an iron axis bar. An incomplete copper alloy and silvered trumpet brooch of Roman date. The brooch has a typical oval or 'trumpet' shaped head. The bow tapers in width towards the small oval foot. In the centre of the bow is an oval waist moulding of outward-bowing diamond shapes. Above and below the waist moulding is a double transverse collar. On the head of the brooch are two elongated oval mouldings with a groove in the centre. The leg of the brooch is decorated with a central vertical groove.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative brooch, dating to the period AD 50-150. The brooch measures 23.16mm in length and 29.41mm in width. It is 10.35mm thick and weighs 5.74g. The lower bow, catchplate and the pin are missing.
The wings are circular with a recess to the reverse to house the hinged pin which is missing. Iron corrosion is visible in the recess suggesting that the axis par may have been iron. The wings are decorated with five vertical incised grooves on each wing.

An early medieval silver pyramidal mount, probably from a sword scabbard dating from the 7th century. The mount is hollow with four triangular faces and a flat top.
