A foot / leg from a copper alloy cooking vessel of Medieval to Post Medieval date (c. AD 1400 - AD 1750). The vessel leg is sub rectangular in shape with a D shaped cross section. The foot expands from the leg into a flat, sub-triangular base; the opposing end of the leg narrows but terminates in an old, worn break.
It is uncertain what type of vessel this fragment comes from, but Egan (1998) comments that commonly used cooking vessels in the Medieval period include skillets, ewers, and cauldrons. Butler, Green and Payne (2009) illustrate copper-alloy cooking vessels on page 2 an…

A complete lead alloy weight of uncertain date. The weight is circular in plan and plano-convex in cross section, of irregular thickness and with a sub-circular perforation through the centre. There is no deocration. These objects are very hard to date and had a variety of uses, from spindle whorls to net and fishing weights. Probably medieval in date however they can date from c. AD 600-1600.

A flint core rejuvenation flake of probable Mesolithic date (9000 BC - 4000 BC). It is formed on a piece of opaque yellow flint with cream inclusions. It is oval in plan and D shaped in cross section. It has tertiary working, the dorsale face is formed of numerous previous blade removal scars, and part of the original striking platform can be seen at the distal end. An incomplete copper-alloy Late Iron Age Early Roman brooch of the Rosette Type, dating to AD 20-60. The head of the brooch is sub-rectangular in plan and the spring-case is open at the back; the spring is missing. A complete lead alloy cloth seal of post-medieval to early modern date. The cloth seal is a three-part seal wich has been folded closed when it was secured to the bale of cloth (for example). The front of the seal has the words W[...]ANDLEY LONDON around the central seal tab, which has the co-joined letters WH upon it. The loop of the seal partly obscures the word 'London'. The reverse of the seal has a plain outer edge but centrally there are the stamped, not cast, letters H [..] - the second (or potentially the first) letter is not clear.

It is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in cross section, with a convex ventral face and a single arris along the centre of the dorsal face. It is sub-circular in plan and sub-triangular in cross section, with a convex ventral face and steeply angled dorsal face. It was probably struck with a soft hammer and has tertiary working.
