An incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval (1600-1800) strap-fitting, missing most of each flat integral lug to the reverse. The object is circular and domed, being hollow to the reverse and convex to the front, with a flat rim flanking it. The dome is divided into two stepped areas, the lower of which has a concentric groove close to its upper edge. Topping the upper stepped area is a flattened circular knop with a central perforation. Traces of white-metal coating can be seen in the groove and on the flat rim, which has a thickened edge and two small holes where the metal is very thin…

A medieval strap-slide, dating to the period AD 1350-1400. It is D-shaped and has a separate rivet. The strap-slide measures 14.32mm in length and 10.58mm in width. It is 3.41mm thick and weighs 1.04g. Cf. Brian Read, Metal Artefacts of Antiquity (2001) p.34 no.289.

A medieval strap-slide, dating to the period AD 1350-1400. The strap loop is rectangular and has an integral rivet with a lozenge-shaped lug. It measures 16.7mm in length and 14.94mm in width. It is 4.51mm thick and weighs 2.4g. Similar to Brian Read, Metal Artefacts of Antiquity (2001) p.26 no.210.

An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting / sword belt fitting of Early Post Medieval dating (17th Century AD). The strap fitting consists of a circular hollow-domed plate with, at one end a projecting collared debased trefoil attachment knop, and the other end is an incomplete close butted blunt hook, with a double rounded collar at the junction with the plate. The reverse is concave, with the remains of a circular sectioned rivet to hold a securing plate in place. The strap fitting measures 33.9 mm in length, 13.1 mm wide and 8.5 mm thick. It weighs 5.1 g.
