An incomplete cast copper alloy headstud brooch of Roman date. The wings are rectangular and ribbed, and cover a circular casing on the reverse that contains the pin bar. A fragment of the hinged pin survives. The bow is comma shaped in profile and has a moulded stud on the top. The stud is decorated with two concentric circles. The lower bow is incomplete but was decorated with two rows of triangular cells of red enamel. Brooches of this type date from the 1st-2nd century AD.

An incomplete cast copper alloy bow and fantail brooch of Roman date. The head and pin are missing. The brooch has a circular frame with open centre at the top of the bow, leading into a flat, fantail terminal. The fantail contains a sub-triangular cell containing red enamel. An incomplete catchplate is located on the reverse. Brooches of this type date from the 1st-2nd century AD. Similar examples can be seen in Hattatt, p.315, fig.174.
