An incomplete copper alloy brooch of the cruciform type, dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 400 - 600). Only the foot and lower bow survive, the rest of the object having broken away in antiquity. The foot is in the shape of a beast's head with moulded, ridged eyebrows and prominent rounded eyes. The snout extends towards the terminal of the brooch with a prominent raised bridge of the nose and raised nostrils. An incomplete copper alloy harness pendant dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1200-1400). The pendant is in the shape of a ten-pointed star with five of the points radiating outwards on either side of an integrally cast suspension loop at the upper end of the pendant. At the lower end the pendant extends into a bifurcated hinge or suspension loop. There is a rivet in situ just above the hinge. The pendant is decorated with incised lines following the shape of the star and in the centre of this is a blue enamel setting. The reverse is undecorated though there are traces of gilding. …

An incomplete copper alloy Colchester derivative, hinged brooch dating to the Roman period (c. AD 55-100). The brooch is in two parts and both were recovered very close together in the same field. The head of the brooch has two short wings with a recess in the centre on the reverse to accommodate the, now missing, pin. Fragment of a copper alloy spear head dating from the Middle Bronze Age, about 1550 - 1250 BC. It probably can be assigned to Davis's Group 6 'Developed side looped' type (Davis 2017). It has a narrow blade measuring 44mm in length and 18mm in width. The tip is missing and the break is very worn and patinated suggesting it broke in antiquity; the base of the fragment also shares the same patina. Most of the spear head is missing. An incomplete cast copper alloy Colchester brooch. The brooch is made from the one piece of metal. The brooch has a bilateral spring with an external chord held by a forward facing hook. The spring is hidden behind two flat, rectangular wings. The bow is comma shaped in profile and oval in section. The catchplate is missing. The bow is worn, but appears to have vertical lines. A copper alloy spoon of probable post medieval date (1500-1750). The spoon has been been bent double. One end is spatulate, probably originally with a rounded terminal but now missing the tip. The bowl is an elongated oval, quite shallow. The stem is flat, and above the bowl there are linear ridges which may be decorative; however the surface is corroded and has a green patina. The brooch is in the form of a raptor bird, possibly an eagle, in relief with the feathers indicated by incised line decoration and the eyes and beak cast.
