There is retouch along the convex edge bifacially worked formed by short very regular scaled semi-abrupt removals. The short edge has some less regular short retouch creating a bit of a longer boring point. There is some more invasive retouch along the outer edge. The bulb of percussion is fairly subtle althou…

A flint scraper likely of Bronze age date (c. 2200 - 800 BC), utilising an earlier flake. Description: The scraper is sub-triangular (almost teardrop) in shape with a wider outer slightly convex edge, an inner concave edge and a wide body. It is formed from a secondary flake with some cortex remaining on the outer edge. There is retouch along the convex edge formed of short very regular scaled semi-abrupt removals. This retouch goes through flint that has begun to recorticate indicating this retouch occured a substantial amount of time after the production of the flake. The short e…

It is formed from a secondary flake with some cortex remaining at the distal end. There is a retouch along the right hand edge formed of short very irregular scaled semi-abrupt removals. This retouch goes through flint that is begining to recorticate indicating this retouch occured a substantial amount of time after the production of the flake. The striking platform and bulb of percussion are very irregular and has been extensively, heavily struck and reshaped removing much of the bulb etc. The bulb of percussion and the conchoidal fractures are very pronounced which…
