A copper-alloy medieval French stock jetton of the 'Moor's head' type, dating to the period AD 1300-1500. Obverse depicting a Moor's head facing left. Reverse depicting a double stranded arcuate cross fleury with central lis. It has a diameter of 19.94mm, a thickness of 0.99mm and weighs 1.44g. For similar jettons cf. Mitchiner vol.I p.157 no.369.

A very worn post Medieval copper alloy Nuremburg jetton possibly of rose / orb type. Possible date range c. 1500-1650. Inscriptions on both faces are illegible. Both obverse and reverse types are unclear due to severity of wear. One side of the jetton is bent.

A complete Medieval copper alloy French jeton made in Tournai dating to c.1415-1497, Shield of France type, (Mitchiner 1988, page 227, no 687). The obverse shows the Shield of France bearing three complete lis, with an 'o' above. The inscription reads: X AVE MARIA o GRACIA. The reverse shows a triple stranded straight cross fleuretty in a four-arched tressure. In the internal angles there are two V's and two M's. In the external angles there are four o's.

Reverse type: *GOTES.SEGEN.MACHT.REICH; Imperial orb surmounted by a cross pattée within a double-stranded trefoil, all within an inner circle. C.f. Mitchiner, 1988, p 443-4, no 1553-73.
