A fragment of copper-alloy foot vessel of the Medieval or Post Medieval period. It is sub-rectangular in shape as it is the cross section; one of the two short sides is convex while the opposite is oblique and its edge is flat and bevelled. The long edges are flat and front and back faces are featured by irregular hollows and bulges. The back face has a browinsh black patina.
The date suggested is the 1300-1600 AD

Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Trumpet type and of 1st or 2nd century AD date
The brooch fragmentary, missing the leg and pin (with a surviving length of 41.1mm, a surviving depth of 15.8mm and a weight of 16.8g). The missing spring was secured around a single, perforated lug on the rear of the head. Iron corrosion around the lug suggests that an iron spring was used. An incomplete copper alloy Acorn Mount of Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1700). The object is styled in an acorn pattern. The rounded bottom half is decorated with a cross-hatched pattern that form the cup d the acorn, protruding from the base is a short bifurcated rod. The top half is undecorated except for a small round knop at its apex, and forms the nut of the acorn. The reverse is concave and undecorated and retains two lugs. These are complete and circular in section.
The metal is a light green in colour with a pitted patina.

Bent and corroded medieval gilt copper alloy harness pendant, rectangular with gilding surviving in engraved rocker-arm lines standing proud of the corroded surface of a lion, reserved on a sunken field which contains tiny fragments of surviving red enamel. Blazon: Gules a lion passant Or. Length/height (unbent) 45mm (of which the suspension shank and loop account for 13mm). Width 34.5mm. Late 12th-13th century.

~~A copper alloy Post-Medieval knife handle end cap that is sub-rectangular with an oval in cross section; there is a slot in the base for the tang, this area is heavily encrusted with iron corrosion which is the remains of the knife tang. Decoration comprises of a groove runs down the centre of both sides dividing the piece in two; an oval projection with flat terminal decorated with a central grove and three stamped pellets is positioned on each of the top corners. This is probably a stylised form of the opposing hoof style.

An incomplete copper alloy nail cleaner with a swollen blade of Roman date (AD 50-150). The blade of the object is 'leaf' shaped, widening just below the shoulders then narrowing to the tip. The blade is flat, and slightly curved in profile. The neck and tip of cleaner narrow and terminate in old and abraded breaks. A small portion of the circular loop above the neck is retained oriented at a 90 degree to the blade.
The object is light green in colour with a slightly pitted and corroded patina.

A complete copper alloy Mount of Roman date (AD 43-410). The object is a leontomorphic mount, perhaps a furniture fitting from a casket or box, in the form of a lion's head with the remains of an iron shank to the reverse (square sectioned). The object is circular in form and three-tiered, being hollow to the underside and creating a triangular section. An incomplete copper alloy headstud brooch of Roman date (AD 75 - 200). The object is of the derivative Thealby type (Continental). The end of the pin has not been retained. The catchplate, wings and lower bow are intact. From the reverse of the head the tubular lugs through which the retained upper portion of the pin is hinged and the axis bar is retained.

Medieval copper alloy stud dating to the period c. AD 1250 - 1500. Flat, circular head with an engraved design consisting of a central pellet with four triangular grooves radiating at the cardinal points forming a cross pattee. In each quarter a single pellet with a triangular groove radiating to the edge. The engraved decoration retains traces of a black substance, possibly niello. The square-sectioned shank tapers to a notched point.
