An incomplete copper alloy double looped spectacle buckle of medieval to post medieval date, c. AD 1350 - 1650 (Whitehead 1996, 54). Description: Only one loop remains intact and the pin is missing. The remaining frame consists of one D-shaped loop and D-shaped in cross-section. The frame has some moulded decoration on the outer edge each lobe of which is picked out with a subtle incised line. Fragment of a medieval copper alloy single-loop buckle frame. The frame was originally pentagonal in shape with half of the outer edge consisting of two of the five sides remaining. The other two sides and the strap bar are missing to old breaks. The sides are D-shaped in section with a convex front and flat back. The remaining stub of the cross bar suggests it was thinned. An incomplete Medieval copper alloy buckle dating to c. 1270-1350 AD. The buckle has a circular loop with a straight rectangular outer edge which protrudes at each side. The other side of the loop is joined to a rectangular plate measuring 6.7mm in length, and 8.8mm in width. An incomplete medieval copper alloy buckle pin, dating to c.1270-1350 AD. The pin shaft is triangular in shape, narrowing to a rounded point which has a small dent on the inside edge. The shaft is sub-rectangular in cross section. At the wider end there is a raised ridge grip with two horizontal grooves. The pin then curves round to form an incomplete loop which would have been attached to the buckle frame. The pin is a dark green colour, with patches of lighter green. An incomplete medieval cast copper alloy D shape buckle with narrowed and offset strap bar, dating to AD1250 - 1400. The buckle pin is missing, and so is the plate. The hoop has an oval section, the strap bar is circular in section. There is a single notch where the pin would have met the hoop. It is 29.80mm in length, 21.14mm in width and weighs 4.88g.

An incomplete, possibly early medieval cast copper-alloy buckle, dating to the period AD 410-1066. The buckle is 25.11mm in length and 11.12mm in width. It is 5.61mm thick and weighs 3.29g. The patina is relatively smooth, the colour is green. The pin, the strap bar and the rest of the frame are missing. What remains of the buckle's frame is broadly circular in section and curves in a way that forms a semicircle.
