A fragment of silver rod or ingot, probably originally part of an Early Medieval decorated armring, later cut for use as Viking hack-silver. The find consists of a short length of a curved silver rod of kite-shaped section (deltoid) that has been cut obliquely across both ends. The fragment is decorated on the outer face with stamped marks. Each stamp is in the shape of two opposing triangles, point to point. There are three rows os these stamps.
