Medieval lead pilgrim's ampulla of 14th to 16th century date The ampulla is near-complete, missing the loops and with some damage to the mouth and neck (with a length of 60.5mm and a weight of 78.1g). The mouth is moderately expanded (with a width of 29.5mm) and is partially open. The sides of the neck are straight and convergent to the body of the ampulla. The stubs of the missing loops are evident on both sides, beginning at the base of the neck (with a length of 11mm - 13mm). A complete possibly Roman lead and iron steelyard weight dating to c. AD 43 - 410. It is conical in shape. It tapers from 14.3mm to 20.7mm in width. At the top is a complete iron loop. The loop measures 8mm in length, 12.5mm in width and 4mm in thickness. The bottom is flat and oval in shape. The weight is 34.2mm in length, 20.7mm max width, 19.4mm thickness, and weighs 50.22g.

Lead weight, probably of medieval or post medieval date The weight is complete or near-complete, of circular form and of rectangular section (29.5mm diameter and 10.2mm maximum thickness). The upper face is decorated with a cross in cast relief; the cross is enhanced with pellets at the end of each arm and with a central pellet. An incomplete post medieval lead cloth seal dating to AD 1500-1700. The item is a roughly circular disc, the lower part of which has torn away.It would have linked to another via a connecting lug, the tab of whcih is still in place, with an early break evident. The inner surface if the disc has a raised margin. The outer surface has been stamped, or has moulded into it, a feature which includes a central circle with the letters R H and a decoration of stars and pellets. It is 18.16mm in diameter and weighs 2.30g.

A cast lead musket ball of Post-Medieval date, AD 1600 - 1800. At a mass of 10.15g, this was probably a pistol shot. The casting seam is visible, as is the casting sprue which has been trimmed with nippers. The ball has a dark grey patina. It is 11.9mm diameter and 10.15g. See Harding, 2012, Lead Shot of the English Civil War: a Radical Study.

A cast lead musket ball of Post-Medieval date, AD 1600 - 1800. At a mass of 15.12g, this was probably a pistol shot. It has been extensively chewed, probably by animals post-deposition. The deep depressions and deformation of shape make any set up or other details impossible to see. The ball has a cream patina. It is 14.9mm diameter and 15.12g. See Harding, 2012, Lead Shot of the English Civil War: a Radical Study.

Lead spindle whorl of probable medieval date (c. AD 1200 - 1500). Biconical with a central circular perforation. Each face exhibits a mouolded pattern of zig zag and cross hatched lines interspersed with irregular numbers of pellets moulded in high relief. One face exhibits a scar indicating recent damage.
