An incomplete copper-alloy Roman brooch of the Trumpet Type. The head of the brooch is decorated with two circular grooves in its front, where the head meets the bow. The rear has two integral lugs with a copper-alloy axis bar which secures part of the pin still in situ. On the top side of the head there is a short fragment of the broken integral headloop. An incomplete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) coin brooch. Treasure case no. 2018 T40. The coin is an 'Arm and Sceptre' silver penny of Harthacnut as sole king (1040-1042) and minted by Sideman at Wareham (North 1994: 171, ref: 811). There are four silver rivets for attachment fittings. On the obverse these are situated at about 2 o' clock, 5 o' clock, 7 o' clock and 10 o' clock. The rivet at 10 o' clock is coloured brown. Copper alloy brooch. Cast hinged Colchester derivative brooch, Mackreth 2011, Chapter 3, Part 4, type CD H9.d. Plain tubular wings, clenched behind, retain an axis bar for a hinged pin [lost]. A plain humped bow of rounded section clasps the wings, and bears two rectangular cut outs immediately below its crest. The bow tapers below the cut-outs to a plain foot. Abraded. A copper alloy pin with zoomorphic terminal dating from the Early Medieval period, circa AD 700-800. The pin is complete, with a long tapering shaft with a pierced terminal, possibly in the form of a boar or bear with a rounded ear and long pointed snout. The head is flat and shows the animal in profile. The head is tilted back slightly with one of the upper corners containing the ear and the opposing corner with the snout. An incomplete socketed copper alloy spear head dating from the Middle Bronze Age, about 1550 - 1250 BC. It probably can be assigned to Davis's Group 6 'Developed side looped' type (Davis 2017). It has a narrow blade measuring 45 mm in length. The tip is missing and the break is very worn and patinated suggesting it broke in antiquity. Only circa 12-15 mm of the tip appears to be missing.
