Cast D-section band with a slightly expanded circular sunken bezel retaining a 'stone' of a now-indeterminate dark tint, possibly of glass paste, whose surface lies flush with the adjacent shoulders. A probably pressed metal ring with an integrally formed plain oval bezel framed by a gutter which is continued across either shoulder, the rest of the band being plain and diminishing in its width; the band is broken opposite the bezel. An incomplete Roman enamelled copper alloy finger ring, probbly dating to c. AD 43-300. The finger ring is incomplete, missing the lower half of the hoop. The hoop is plano-convex in cross section, and measures 2.0mm thick and 2.3mm wide at the break. The hoop expands into the shoulders, and into an integral circular bezel. The bexel is decorated with a slightly off-set cross motif, with this left in relief against a recessed cell in each quarter.
