A post medieval silver sixpence of William III (AD 1694-1702). Probable third bust variety, reverse type depicting crowned cruciform shields. The coin is very worn on both faces, making it impossible to identify a date or mint. The coin has been bent twice into a slight S shape, meaning it was probably a love token; coins of William III were commonly converted into love tokens. The coin is 20.21mm in diameter, has a thickness of 0.99mm and weighs 2.6g.
