An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman lock-pin of 1st to 3rd century AD date. The pin survives as a flat, circular disc, decorated with two circumferential grooves. From the upper surface of the disc there extends the remains of a small iron lug which appears to be broken close to the main body. From the underside of the disc there is the remains of a rectangular iron pin with extensive iron corosion spreading outside the pin area onto the underside of the disc, The lock pin disc measures 28.78mm in diameter , 8,52mm in depth, and 12.36mm including the iron pin on the base. The initial mark looks like a pomegranate (Canterbury mint) however the lettering on the reverse appears to read [Lon]don, which would indicate a portcullis or castle initial mark. A Post-Medieval copper alloy strap fitting, probably dating to c. 1500-1650. The mount consists of of an abraded sub-rectangular plate with a narrowed waist towards its base; the plate would probably originally been trilobed on its top edge. The front of the plate is decorated with a deeply engraved foliate motif, or 'vine-scroll' decoration, the reverse is plain. An incomplete cast copper-alloy spearhead Middle Bronze Age, dating to the period of 1500-800 BC. It measures 32.75mm in length and 14.17mm in width. It is 6.54mm thick and weighs 3.55g. The patina is smooth, the colour is dark green. The blade is triangular, one of the lower corners have been bent backwards. The stem of the arrowhead is hollow, broadly diamond-shaped in section and the socket is damaged. Where the object is broken, there is a protrusion to one side.
