A clipped halfpenny of a Henry VIII (AD 1509-1547), dating to the period AD 1509-1526. The initial mark looks like a pomegranate (Canterbury mint) however the lettering on the reverse appears to read [Lon]don, which would indicate a portcullis or castle initial mark. The coin is hard to read because of size and condition and it may also be a mule. Lombardic lettering. North N1779/1780.
