There are six shallow collets arranged equidistantly around the frame, all retaining some amount of the decorative white paste. A complete lead-alloy spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date, c.AD 1200 - 1800. The spindle whorl is bi-conical with a central perforation running through it. Both surfaces are decorated with irregularly spaced raised lines radiating from the central perforation. Each resulting trapezoidal cells houses three raised pellets. An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle of Meols type 8, dating c. 1250-1400. Only the frame survives, the pin and plate missing in old damage. It is broadly oval in plan, with an offset strap bar, curving sides and thickened outer edge to the frame, the latter being decorated with four projecting sub-rectangular lobes (the outer two curved). Preserved in good condition with an even green patina, it measures 21.99mm long, 17.15mm wide, and 2.81mm thick at the midpoint of the frame. It weighs 2.29g. For a parallel, see Egan (2007) p. 91, nos. 528 and 534, which are practically identical.
